Knik Goose Bay Elementary School
Summary
Nvision provided accelerated planning, design, and construction administration services for the new Knik Goose Bay Elementary School, which went from concept design to occupancy in just 12 months. The school features 20 classrooms, a gymnasium/multi-purpose room, and a centrally located library with numerous study carrels, private study rooms, computer access points, a 25-station computer laboratory, a smart board lecture area, and a traditional book stack space. This project followed an extremely competitive Design/Build process that resulted in more than $3.5M in savings through design and construction solutions that significantly simplified the structural system, shell construction system, and exterior forms.
