Summary

Nvision provided collaborative master planning, design, and construction administration services for the new Downtown Soup Kitchen Hope Center, which provides meals and other programs to people in need in a comfortable and secure environment. The modern facility features commercial kitchen facilities, an indoor dining hall, an outdoor courtyard, lounge areas, showers, sleeping areas, laundry services, administrative offices, and a sun deck/garden area on the roof. Nvision’s design celebrates the program’s unique purpose. The creative application of various materials, including corrugated metal, lap siding, exposed lumber, metal, and glass, creates a diverse texture on both the interior and exterior of the building. The result is an expressive and inviting building that blends into its urban surroundings and provides a sense of community.
