Summary

This project was completed by Livingston Slone, Inc., which merged with Nvision Architecture, Inc., in early 2020.

The Alaska Vocational Technical Center (AVTEC) housing was designed to accommodate the growing number of students in attendance. The project entailed seven “quad style” housing units, which consist of four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a living area, and two two-bedroom, one-bath units. The building includes a laundry room, vending room, and a common living area on each level. Office spaces were installed on the main level for security monitoring and student advising. The accessible dormitory provides housing for a maximum of 48 students.
