Rabbit Creek Community Church
Summary
Nvision provided design services for the proposed renewal and expansion of the Rabbit Creek Community Church. Nvision’s design more than doubles the size of the existing facility, an effort fueled by the need to accommodate the adult fellowship and the growing youth and children’s outreach ministries. The addition would be a two-story structure containing a common fellowship area and a children’s ministry wing, including worship space, ponding areas, and instructional classrooms for children from nursery age through the 6th grade. The addition would also house typical infrastructure support areas, such as circulation space, bathrooms, storage, and mechanical/electrical spaces. Renovation work would modify approximately 90% of the original two-story structure. This area would be transformed to meet the needs of the youth ministry for young adults in grades 7–12 and would include worship space, ponding areas, small group rooms, and support amenities. Existing heating systems would be replaced. Renovations to the basement space located directly below the adult worship auditorium and modifications of several rooms to accommodate the church administrative staff are anticipated. Site work would include the design of a new parking lot, potential driveway relocation, electrical easement relocation, and landscaping.
