Summary

Nvision provided collaborative planning, design, and construction administration services for this new shopping center located along the Glenn Highway in Anchorage’s Mountain View community. Nvision capitalized on the beauty of the surrounding mountain scenery in developing this 39,000 SF retail center, which was intended to be occupied by small shops in close proximity to larger anchor tenants such as Old Navy, Famous Footwear, Michaels, PETCO, and Bed Bath & Beyond. The shops were designed after a contemporary European village streetscape with exterior materials that look and feel like European stucco and stone. They were designed and constructed as two separate buildings anchored by a pedestrian plaza and outdoor amphitheater. Nvision’s plan included phasing for two additional stories to be constructed over the top of the buildings for what will become a multi-use facility with retail and business occupants. Under a construction management contract with the owner, Nvision also provided ongoing tenant improvements for several retail clients.
